In order to facilitate the General Public with the vast knowledge built up by Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) through its Research and Advanced Learning Activities, a Two Day Scientific and Technological Exhibition - "Sasthrayaan 2018", is organized in collaboration with Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), is scheduled to be conducted on 27th and 28th of February, 2018.
The Open House Auditorium at University Main Campus at Kalamassery, Cochin, will be the venue for the event. Exhibition, Science Conference, Discussions, Project Demonstrations and associated display, etc together compose Sasthrayaan 2018. Industrialists, Businessmen, Politicians, Commoners, NGOs, Resident Associations, Students from Schools and Colleges, and all interested people can attend the event at Zero Registration Fees.

In order to encourage scientific and technological creativity among students and inculcate a sense of pride in their talent, Sasthrayaan 2018 provides a venue through self designed models or simple apparatus. It will help the students to analyse how science and technology have affected individuals, cultures and societies and to encourage them as an architect of the nation and visualize future of the nation.
There will be opportunity for the students and public to interact with the scientists and research scholars during the event. Through this the students will get the right global experience and also help them to develop scientific ethos at the prime age. There will be opportunities for the general public to visit the CSiS and Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research during the event.
Quiz Competition will be held for high school & higher secondary school levels. The event will present competitions of each level in a simple and lucid manner. Students can register their name for participation in the same. This aims to increase their knowledge level in the scientific and technological aspects. The winners will be awarded with citation of merit and a trophy. Registration begins at 9.00 am on February 27, 2018.
The biography of Retired Professors/Faculty from CUSAT or who has moved to higher positions outside CUSAT will be projected for public. Biography of passed out students who has attained Notable Careers / Achievements who have become "Gems of CUSAT" will be availble.
The aim of the exhibition is to give an idea to the public and policy makers how they can benefit from the research being conducted. Exhibition will have all departments of CUSAT showcasing their major research activities. The medium of exchange of ideas will be videos, sketch, PowerPoint presentations and posters.

Entrepreneurship Development Assistance & Placement and Career Guidance details provided by the University will be displayed and facilities to interact and promote them will be available.
